Role Overview: The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring effective and responsive technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves managing category strategies, sourcing methodologies, and vendor relationships, particularly in the area of gas distribution materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain essential vendor partnerships.
  • Engage with key gas utility clients to understand their needs.
  • Provide expert technical assistance to various departments regarding specifications for gas distribution materials, including meters, regulators, and piping systems.
  • Assess customer requirements to recommend appropriate gas material solutions.
  • Deliver insights on product lines and market supply conditions for gas commodities.
  • Collaborate with clients to outline material needs for planned projects.
  • Support Sales and Operations teams in bid development, pricing strategies, and negotiations.
  • Lead local supply chain initiatives while aligning with corporate strategies.
  • Develop and uphold category management plans based on market intelligence.
  • Assist branches in project bidding with sourcing insights and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate pricing records and databases.
  • Contribute to inventory strategy development in line with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure prompt communication and support for all inquiries related to material specifications and procurement.
  • Drive strategic initiatives through detailed analyses, including market assessments and profitability evaluations.
  • Participate in the accurate setup of inventory descriptions and classifications.
  • Travel as necessary for site visits and industry events.
  • Promote a culture of safety and health in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management.
  • A minimum of four years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in customer service, sales, or warehouse operations with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
