Utility Manager

Amtec Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Manager to oversee the operations of our water and wastewater systems. As a key member of our management team, you will report directly to the Vice President of Operations or Director, depending on location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of water and wastewater contracts at our subsidiary locations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Directly oversee the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, as well as the management of sub-contractors, consultants, and vendors, to ensure efficient and effective service levels.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to operations teams, including project coordinators, project team leaders, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless execution of operations.
  • Develop and maintain system operation plans, quality management plans, and other company-standardized processes and procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Ensure open and clear communication with support services, the General Office, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Manage customer service functions and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain 5-year capital plans and manage asset management, planning, and budgeting to ensure strategic alignment with company goals.
  • Integrate new or modified water supply, treatment facilities, and wastewater facilities into operations, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to service.
  • Participate in industry-related committees and community outreach programs to promote Amtec Inc.'s commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with government stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and corporate management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Business.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in water and/or wastewater systems operations, including budgeting, planning, financial reporting, and community relations.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state where employed.
  • Pass background checks, including the National Agency Check (NAC).
