We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Department Leader to join our team at Raytheon. As a Department Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, integration, and sustainment of state-of-the-art effector electrical subsystems.

About the Team:

The Electrical Engineering department is a critical component of the Raytheon Engineering team, responsible for designing, integrating, and sustaining electrical subsystems for various programs. Our team is comprised of experienced engineers who are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to Section Leads, Chief Engineers, IPTLs, REAs, and individual contributors within the department
  • Review proposals and utilize EVMS techniques to manage programs
  • Ensure appropriate staff development through effective performance management, including goal setting, career development, compensation, employee learning, and developmental task assignments
  • Provide engineering oversight to programs supported by the department through the planning and leadership of project design reviews and peer reviews
  • Lead and manage department staff, recruiting, hiring, retaining, and developing effective engineers and engineering leaders
  • Create, capture, and analyze metrics to manage associated organizational and program performance
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Physics, or a related engineering degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior work experience
  • 12+ years of engineering experience, including at least 6 years of leadership roles
  • Work experience with RF product and subassembly analysis, design, integration, and production support
  • Experience with EVMS, development of budgets, task planning, milestone development, and budget management
  • Experience in design compliance during design/development and production
  • Experience with cost, schedule, and performance tools for managing projects and program planning
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related engineering degree
  • Expert knowledge and experience leading a multi-disciplined department
  • Systems engineering thought process with analytical skills background
  • Antenna Systems - Antenna System Analysis, Array Analysis, Electromagnetic Analysis, Signal Level Analysis, Assembly, Integration, and Test
  • RF/Microwave Design - Simulation and Layout, Passive Circuits, Amplifiers, Component Test, Material Characterization
  • Antenna Design - Radiating Elements, Radomes/Frequency Selective Surfaces, Simulation and Layout, and Antenna Test
