About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team at Smyth Industries, a leading provider of electrical, civil, manufacturing, engineering, and general contracting services for the water and reclamation industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including conduit, wiring, and electrical panels.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to complete assigned tasks.
  • Provide effective project communication, both orally and in writing, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor and train field staff to develop ways to more efficiently complete assigned tasks while building a strong team environment.
  • Develop a team relationship with other divisions, sharing resources to successfully complete projects on time and under budget.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, and other stakeholders to provide customer service and develop long-term partnerships.
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience as an electrician working in an industrial/commercial environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience bending and installing above and underground conduit.
  • 3-5 years of experience installing utility service entrance sections, drops, junction boxes, point of deliveries, and/or primary-secondary.
  • 3-5 years of experience installing and wired industrial electrical panels, electrical motors, high voltage and low voltage AC and DC branch circuits, variable frequency drive (VFD), soft starter, pressure devices, and related instruments.
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to reference information from the NEC, state, and local building regulations.
  • Prior construction experience required.
  • Self-motivated, task-oriented, leader.
  • Required to possess a valid driver's license and legally be able to operate a company vehicle.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
