Position Summary:

This entry-level role is dedicated to supporting seasoned engineers in executing smaller-scale projects efficiently and safely. The position involves providing assistance to senior electrical engineers on various projects, ensuring adherence to the Cooperative's policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in delivering engineering support for designated projects, which may encompass power systems, instrumentation and controls, and telecommunication systems.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and external entities, including consultants and vendors, to facilitate project completion.
  3. Contribute to problem-solving efforts by applying standard engineering practices, including equipment design, material testing, and specification preparation.
  4. Help develop technical drawings and documentation to ensure timely project delivery that aligns with the Cooperative's standards.
  5. Provide support in electrical engineering tasks, including installation and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project budgets.
  6. Maintain accurate records of project progress and assist in the verification of as-built conditions.
  7. Engage in continuous learning to enhance knowledge of current electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunications technologies.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

This position necessitates the ability to remain stationary and navigate within an office environment, with occasional physical demands such as lifting and moving objects. The role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
