Your Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (DevSecOps) to drive automation initiatives, empower our development teams, and build and maintain exceptional platforms while implementing modern security practices. This position demands proficiency in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security protocols associated with both.

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the Platform Engineering team, facilitating the organization's transition to a fully cloud-native operational model. The primary objective of the Platform Engineering (PE) team is to streamline the delivery process and enhance the developer experience. The three core competencies for this role include technical expertise, strategic pragmatism, and the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with the Sr Manager of Platform Engineering, Platform Tech Lead, and Platform Architect to ensure robust technical guidance. Additionally, you will partner with the Technical Product Owner on your Agile Platform Engineering team to prioritize and deliver essential platform features for Product Development Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt a proactive stance towards tasks and communication
  • Promote and advocate for automation, Infrastructure as Code, policy as code, and developer enablement
  • Lead technical implementations in collaboration with the team architect
  • Serve as a key team member and maintain strong collaboration with other teams and leadership
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and analysis of automation and platform consistency challenges
  • Ensure optimal system, resource, and infrastructure availability and performance
  • Champion cloud-native methodologies and practices among delivery teams
  • Provide expert guidance on all facets of our technology stack
  • Implement Infrastructure Automation using Terraform
  • Manage Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Utilize Kubernetes / AKS / EKS effectively
  • Apply CI/CD patterns
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

Qualifications:

You Bring:

  • Over 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud-Native Engineering, or DevOps Engineering
  • Expertise in container technologies and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of container security and Kubernetes security
  • Experience with open-source security tools
  • Proficiency in addressing security vulnerabilities and managing CVE reported issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot false positive security reports
  • Experience working within Agile teams using Agile methodologies
  • Commitment to staying updated on security trends and advocating best practices
  • Strong scripting skills
  • Experience in developing security tests and validations
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code
  • Proficient in managing multiple codebases in Git
  • Experience in creating Continuous Integration builds and deployment automation
  • Ability to build and support Cloud Native applications in major public clouds
  • Expertise in implementing observability, application monitoring, and log aggregation
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver Next-Gen Cloud Native solutions

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with WIZ
  • Experience with AKS, EKS
  • Knowledge of dotnet, PowerShell, and PowerShell Desired State Configuration
  • Bachelor's degree in a computing-related discipline
  • Microsoft Azure or AWS Certifications
