Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Village Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to join our team at North Florida Retirement Village. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement menus, taking into account resident preferences and dietary needs.
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and resident satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or hospitality setting.
  • Proven track record of success in menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.
