Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, meeting the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, kitchen porters, and other support staff, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, storage, and inventory of all food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet the demands of our kitchen.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Work with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring that they are appealing to our residents and meet our nutritional standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to our health and safety policies and procedures, including food safety and hygiene practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a senior kitchen management role, preferably in a high-volume food service establishment.
  • Culinary Qualifications: Culinary degree or equivalent food service management experience required.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certification required.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff to achieve high standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and other stakeholders.
