Here’s what you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary customs representative for your assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and diligent follow-up until issues are resolved to customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit expertise in customs brokerage standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices.
  • Maintain ownership of Customer Standard Operating Procedures and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) databases to guarantee compliance with CBP and customer requirements.
  • Begin to cultivate the skills necessary to become a trusted customs advisor, transitioning from basic data entry to comprehensive customs brokerage account management.
  • Review and validate import documentation and data to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations prior to submission to U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA).
  • Commit to high standards of operational excellence, focusing on on-time performance, accuracy, and superior customer service.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customs entry writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Appreciates a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on client interaction.
  • Excellent follow-up skills with customers and internal networks.
  • Critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to meet evolving tasks and customer needs.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
