Job SummaryWe are seeking a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our team at 75 State Street, a nonprofit senior community located in the historic West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine. The PSS will provide high-quality care to our residents, including personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, and instrumental activities of daily living.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
- Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living, such as medication management and transportation
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in senior care
- Valid PSS license
- 1+ years of experience working in a similar role
- Excellent judgment and caring attitude
- Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive, team-player attitude
