About the Role

Maddox Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Representative to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate Claims and Maintain Accurate Documentation
  • Stay up-to-date on OSHA regulations and conduct regular job site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor high-voltage equipment testing and attend safety meetings and OSHA walkthroughs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage Workman's Compensation claims and approve safety equipment standards to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure staff participation in corporate training and conduct Performance Management Reviews to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Communicate department operations to relevant parties and maintain compliance with company standards to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain vendor relationships in accordance with company policies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Be flexible with working hours to fulfill job duties completely and accurately, while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in the electrical contracting industry.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification, or equivalent.
Necessary Skills
  • Proficient in computer technology, including software applications and data management systems.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • General understanding of construction industry methods and practices, with the ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
  • Demonstrated skills in reasoning, analysis, delegation, multitasking, and maintaining a positive attitude under stress.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay Scale

$84,240 - $94,640 per year, depending on experience and performance, with a performance incentive plan in place.
