Job Summary:

CDI Head Start is seeking a Program Aide to support our teaching team in the Hagerstown Head Start Center. As a Program Aide, you will assist in facilitating classroom activities, lesson planning, and classroom maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of the Head Start classroom and start a career track to becoming a Head Start Teacher.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing classroom activities, including field trips and lesson planning.
  • Support classroom maintenance, including cleaning and organization.
  • Assist in the kitchen, bus, or other areas of operation as needed.
  • Provide support to teachers and other staff members as needed.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • No previous education or experience is required, but a high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
  • Some states may require additional requirements for kitchen aide duties (i.e., Safe Serve).
Benefits:
  • Hourly pay rate of $11.06.
  • 42 weeks per year, 36 hours per week.
