Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Supervisor to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily work performed in our Shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and monitor the completion of work, providing technical assistance as needed.
  • Manage the workforce within the Shop, ensuring that company policies and practices are followed.
  • Identify and implement actions to support the timely and effective completion of assigned tasks.
  • Develop and review project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
  • Allocate personnel and resources to support all contracts, including shift work.
  • Monitor and evaluate project budget performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Train and motivate employees in technical knowledge, safety, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, as well as the requirements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the trade.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in the relevant trade.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, supervise, and direct the work of other employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10-15 years of trade experience.
  • 2-5 years of supervisor experience.
  • Advanced welding knowledge.
