Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Fabrication Specialist to join our team. This role involves working on various projects within demanding shipyard environments. You will be responsible for executing precise metal fabrication tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of fabrication tasks, including welding, fitting, and assembly, according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Inspect materials and workpieces for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

This position demands physical stamina and dexterity. You will be required to stand, walk, sit, use your hands for intricate tasks, reach, climb stairs/ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary.

Environmental Conditions

This role involves working on active job sites with potential exposure to challenging environments. You may encounter loud noises, hazardous chemicals/fumes, airborne particles, smoke, extreme temperatures, and moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

You will be required to wear appropriate PPE at all times while on site, including a hard hat, earplugs or attenuator, safety shoes, dust mask or respirator, and gloves.
