Craft Supervisor Job Description

The Craft Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a Shop, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and projects. This 2nd shift position requires strong leadership and technical expertise to manage a team of employees and drive productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the Shop adheres to Company goals for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Develop and review project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
  • Allocate personnel and resources to support all contracts, including shift work.
  • Monitor and evaluate project budget performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Oversee and monitor schedule performance, investigating late activities and developing practical solutions.
  • Perform personnel-related functions, including supervision, performance management, and discipline.
  • Train and motivate employees in technical knowledge, safety, and communication.
Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the trade.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in the relevant trade.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, supervise, and direct the work of other employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of trade experience.
  • 2-5 years of supervisor experience.
  • Advanced welding knowledge.
Compensation and Benefits:

Full-Time Salary Range: $69,500 - $118,200. Regular employees scheduled to work 20+ hours per week are offered health, dental, and vision insurance, health savings accounts, a 401(k) savings plan, disability coverage, and life and accident insurance.
