Byron Search Partners is representing a prominent organization in the Real Estate Investment and Management sector, looking for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist focused on Property Tax Data & Reporting.

This role is primarily office-based and requires a local presence.

The selected candidate will take charge of the budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting processes related to property taxes. A successful applicant will possess a background in an FP&A environment, exceptional Excel capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with various departments, tax authorities, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of property tax budgeting, forecasting, compliance, variance analysis, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain the property tax database along with relevant reporting tools.
  • Prepare and distribute reports while engaging with senior leadership and different departments to resolve inquiries.
  • Work closely with the Property Tax Department to create and manage property tax budgets and strategic initiatives.
  • Track forecasts, actuals, and variances from the budget, providing reports on discrepancies and projections.
  • Engage directly with various property tax jurisdictions to ensure timely and accurate compliance tasks.
  • Assist the Appeal Group by supplying necessary documentation and resources for property tax appeals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an FP&A role or similar position with substantial exposure to budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in business intelligence software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams is advantageous.
