Job Description

Hotel Management of New Orleans LLC is seeking a skilled and professional Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Manage all aspects of guest service, including registration, information, accounting, parking, directions, and sightseeing.
  • Monitor Bell and Valet Staff: Ensure proper guest support and service from our bell and valet staff.
  • Manage Guest Requests and Complaints: Respond to and resolve guest requests and complaints in a satisfactory manner.
Hotel Operations:
  • Verify Housekeeping Activity: Ensure rooms are prepared for occupancy by verifying housekeeping activity.
  • Hotel Rates and Promotions: Possess working knowledge of hotel rates and promotional programs.
  • Transaction Processing: Accurately process transactions, including cash receipts, credits, and charges to guest accounts.
  • Mail and Package Routing: Properly route mail, packages, telephone calls, and messages.
  • Front Desk Journal and Incident Reports: Maintain accurate records of Front Desk Journal, Incident/Accident Reports, and other required documentation.
  • Maintenance Deficiencies: Document and report maintenance deficiencies.
  • Reservation Requests: Accurately process reservation requests and modifications.
Safety and Security:
  • Hotel Life Safety Systems: Possess working knowledge of hotel life safety systems and emergency procedures.
  • Room Key Inventory: Securely manage room key inventory.
  • Guest Information: Securely manage guest information.
  • Guest Safe Deposit Box System: Securely manage guest safe deposit box system.
  • Shared Cash Bank: Accurately maintain shared cash bank.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Hotel Layout: Possess working familiarity with hotel layout, including corridors, exits, guest rooms, and storage rooms.
  • Hotel Room Types: Possess working familiarity with hotel room types and categories.
  • Hotel Lobby and Front Desk: Maintain a neat and orderly hotel lobby and front desk area at all times.
  • General Manager and Supervisor Requests: Complete any request made by the General Manager or Supervisor.
