The Suites of Algiers Point is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Front Desk Concierge to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service and support for our residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents and guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor community compliance with safety and services, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all.
- Lead and direct day and evening staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist with daily tasks, including data entry, secretarial duties, and reporting community issues to management.
- Make dining and other reservations for family members and relay information to the Dietary Department.
- Assist with the Dining Experience, including proper seating arrangements and meal delivery.
- Maintain the Community Refreshment Bar and Bistro Area, ensuring proper supply and upkeep.
- Manage external and internal calls, receiving and communicating messages accurately.
- Sort and send out correspondence and in-coming mail, ensuring resident mail is delivered to the rightful owner.
- Maintain visitors, residents, and vendors sign in log, as well as log in maintenance requests and work orders.
- Perform initial contact for walk-in and scheduled tours, establishing an excellent rapport with families.
- Assist with creating marketing and community documents, such as invitations, letters to families, and notifications.
- Manage spreadsheets for events and RSVP lists.
- Adhere to dress code and maintain a neat and clean appearance.
- Complete annual education requirements and maintain regulatory requirements.
- Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled, completing work within designated time.
- Wear identification while on duty and use computerized punch time system correctly.
- Complete inservices and return in a timely fashion.
- Attend annual review and department inservices, as scheduled.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Actively participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
- Comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility.
- Knowledgeable of applicable state regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with effective listening skills and ability to speak clearly.
- Safety conscious, able to assess situations and make well-thought-out decisions about a plan of action.
- Able to call 911 and give appropriate information.
- Ability to establish rapport with others quickly and easily.
- Ambitious and willing to learn new skills, particularly in the area of sales and marketing.
- Must have the ability to problem solve.
- Personal qualities such as patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive and helpful attitude for dealing with elderly residents and guests.
- Ability to communicate individually and in group settings.
- Upper body strength adequate to bend, lift, shift, move, and/or assist in moving articles of more than twenty-five pounds.
- Able to squat, reach, and stretch without distress.
- Able to tolerate extended periods of walking and standing.
- Working knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, multi-line phone system, copier, scanner, and shredder.
- Ability to successfully work collaboratively with people at all levels.
- Flexible schedule.
