Role Overview:
As a vital member of the pathology team, the Pathologist Assistant is responsible for the independent execution of gross examinations, dissection, and detailed dictation of intricate surgical specimens. This role also encompasses the selection and processing of frozen sections, along with managing tissue selection for biorepository and specialized studies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct gross photography and ensure the upkeep of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and various departments to enhance patient care.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: Required in Science or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree: Preferred in Science or Health Science from a NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant program.

Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in Surgical Pathology is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
- ASCP certification is preferred.
