You will lead a group of Adjusters who focus on various insurance sectors, including Commercial Business Auto, Inland Marine, General Liability, and Property. Your leadership will ensure that each team member effectively investigates, documents, and resolves their assigned claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Direct a team of claims adjusters, offering training and support to guarantee top-notch claim evaluations and outstanding customer service.
  • Coverage Assessment: Review claim documents, policies, and other relevant records to ascertain insurance coverage.
  • Claims Management: Oversee the complete claims process, from damage assessment to settlement negotiations, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Quality Control: Establish and monitor quality assurance measures to maintain accurate and consistent claims handling in line with company policies and industry standards.
  • Client Relations: Work collaboratively with carriers, legal representatives, claimants, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues, ensuring a positive claims experience.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to identify improvement areas, set targets, and implement strategies to achieve or surpass objectives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices to ensure that claims processes meet all legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in claims handling; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team motivation and development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant case law, statutes, and procedures affecting claims handling.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
