Job Opportunity

The School of Public Health and Health Sciences at UMass Amherst seeks a talented lecturer to teach in, contribute to the development of, and coordinate a new graduate certificate in access, disability policy, and advocacy. This position offers opportunities for summer teaching and is part of a new Master's of Public Health degree program. The successful candidate will provide in-person and/or online teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental and university service.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in speech, language, and hearing sciences, with a focus on access, disability policy, and advocacy.
  • Contribute to the development of a new graduate certificate program and a related Master's of Public Health degree program.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development.
Requirements
  • PhD in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences or a related field, with expertise in access, disability policy, and/or advocacy.
  • PhD in Public Health, Policy, Disability Studies, or a related field, with the ability to teach courses in audiology or speech-language pathology.
  • Demonstrated record of teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of a new graduate certificate program and a related Master's of Public Health degree program.
