Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Program at Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. As a key member of our team, you will work with children from birth to school age, providing expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech-language impairments in children, determining the type and severity of the condition.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders, working collaboratively with other professionals as needed.
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with families and caregivers, providing regular updates on treatment progress and goals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in pediatric feeding and swallowing therapy.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move around the treatment area as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
