Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Program at Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. As a key member of our team, you will work with children from birth to school age, providing expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech-language impairments in children, determining the type and severity of the condition.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders, working collaboratively with other professionals as needed.
  • Conduct regular assessments and progress reports to monitor treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with families and caregivers, providing education and support to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program.
  • New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Physical Demands
  • Ability to perform physical actions such as bending, kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching, and crawling, as needed.
  • Visual, auditory, and tactile senses adequate to perform job requirements.
