Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Therapist

Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Program. This position will work with children from birth through school age at our Williamsville clinic, with some travel required to provide services in the community.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children with communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree from an accredited speech language pathology program, a New York State license, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose children with communication disorders, including speech and language impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as occupational therapists and audiologists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to ensure effective treatment and progress.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with best practices and research.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited speech language pathology program.
  • New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families, and to communicate clearly and professionally.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move around the clinic and community settings.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
