This position entails managing the installation of ACB12/16 Combat System enhancements during Aegis Modernization and PSA availabilities on US AEGIS DDG and CG Class vessels at repair facilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing detailed design schematics
- Conducting installation assessments
- Troubleshooting technical challenges
- Coordinating with various engineering teams
- Providing technical solutions aligned with specifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering, with a solid understanding of CG 47, DDG 51, and/or FMS Aegis or other USN surface ship combat system equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
This role may require up to 50% travel annually and could involve non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays. US Citizenship and a final DoD Secret Security Clearance are prerequisites for this position.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, familiarity with shipbuilding standards, experience in AIT installation and testing of BMD 3.6 and 4.0 upgrades, and knowledge of ship support systems.
