Job Title: SSDS Tactical Action Officer/Air Defense Warfare Coordinator Trainer

At General Dynamics Information Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SSDS Tactical Action Officer/Air Defense Warfare Coordinator Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and conducting combat systems training programs for personnel assigned to the Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment San Diego.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver dynamic teaching and training programs that require advanced knowledge of U.S. Navy Aegis Combat Systems Capabilities and Limitations.
  • Review and analyze U.S. Navy SSDS Engineering Capabilities and Limitations and U.S. Navy Operational and Tactical doctrine to integrate and conceptualize the execution of Doctrine optimizing the application of ship's Combat Systems capabilities and limitation in the dynamic operational tactical environment.
  • Conduct dynamic assessment of the sailors' abilities to comply with approved maintenance, operational procedures, and ship's Battle Orders and provide formal appraisal of performance with recommendations for improvement and methods to maintain technical and tactical proficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides in support of traditional classroom teaching.
  • Support Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates, conduct training gap analysis, provide formal feedback, and recommendation for Course improvement.
  • Document the training conducted with specifics of the individual areas/watch station and be responsible for generation of a formal assessment of measure of success via written report.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
  • Qualifications: Seven (7) years of experience in all facets of combat systems tactical employment, including the management of combat systems personnel, planning and direction of Navy Surface, Air, and Subsurface Warfare mission requirements, and Command and Control of shipboard combat operations.
  • Experience as a qualified TAO and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of CSCS/TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus.
