We are seeking a highly skilled LAN Test Engineer to join our Aegis Modernization Team. As a key member of our team, you will work on software integration projects that will vary from weapons systems command and control software, to network interface management software, to combat systems mission specific software, to electronic detection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on software integration projects that will vary from weapons systems command and control software, to network interface management software, to combat systems mission specific software, to electronic detection systems.
  • Integrate into a small, high-performing team.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
  • Independently author formal test procedures, standard operating procedures, and data reports.
  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of components, elements, subsystems, and systems.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
  • Perform analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
  • Write discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
  • Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement, emphasize outcomes over metrics, and be a good teammate.
  • Be able to interpret complex system requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

This position requires up to 50% travel per year. Also requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and at sea. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn.

US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.
