Schedule: Up to 20 hours/week, based on funding

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $23.38 to $25.35 DOQ

Role Summary

This role is pivotal in managing programs aimed at assisting families who have previously experienced homelessness, particularly those residing in supportive housing environments. The Service Coordinator is tasked with facilitating a range of services designed to help families overcome barriers to maintaining stable housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Coordination: Oversee program operations and service delivery.
  • Conduct screenings and interviews for applicants in collaboration with property management.
  • Assist families in understanding program expectations and completing necessary documentation.
  • Case Management: Perform needs assessments, develop individualized case plans, and monitor progress.
  • Provide referrals to employment and social services, assisting with applications for various assistance programs.
  • Support families in achieving long-term housing stability through education on lease agreements and financial management.
  • Organize community engagement activities and family events to foster a supportive environment.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to program guidelines and facilitate necessary inspections.
  • Address conflicts among residents to promote a harmonious living environment.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the agency and funding sources.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program objectives.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or related certification required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of relevant experience in social services, particularly with at-risk populations.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Commitment to delivering equitable services and supporting diverse communities.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals in crisis using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in case management practices.
  • Knowledge of community resources and advocacy related to housing and social services.
Work Environment

This position primarily operates in an office setting, with responsibilities extending to client residences and community agencies. Frequent local travel is required.

Physical Demands
