Position Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of the hotel's guest and service areas in line with brand standards. This position involves performing preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to maintain a high-quality environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
1. Respond promptly to reports of malfunctioning equipment from both guests and hotel personnel.
2. Maintain a detailed logbook of equipment requiring repairs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
3. Report and address any hazards or injuries within the hotel immediately.
4. Conduct repairs to maintain rooms in optimal condition.
5. Understand and implement the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.).
6. Manage building systems effectively during shifts.
7. Prepare and organize the preventative maintenance cart for daily use.
8. Execute repairs on appliances and bathroom fixtures, including general plumbing tasks.
9. Ensure the aesthetic appeal of rooms by replacing broken mirrors, hanging fixtures, and performing touch-up painting.
10. Repair and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in guest rooms.
11. Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including lobbies and dining areas.
12. Repair furniture, carpets, tiles, windows, mirrors, and other decorative elements as needed.
13. Perform routine checks and repairs on operating equipment to ensure functionality.
14. Attend training sessions to stay updated on best practices and techniques.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of general facility maintenance experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a driving record check.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- A positive and professional demeanor in all situations.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical work is advantageous.
- Preferred certifications for HVAC and CPO.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
- Must have accurate hearing ability with correction.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as squatting, bending, kneeling, and twisting regularly.
