Job Summary:

This part-time position is responsible for providing instruction to students in the classroom, laboratory, and online environments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance and the ability to communicate complex concepts to students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver instructional materials and assessments to meet program learning objectives.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students to ensure their success in the program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessments.
  • Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in facility maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • 1-3 years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and grounds care.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and reliable vehicle for reimbursable travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities and/or learning disabilities.
  • Prior experience working as a building engineer.
  • Prior teaching or training experience.
