Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jacksons Companies. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to prioritized work orders via ServiceNow, following company protocols.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine solutions by consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed.
  • Continuously assess self-assigned work orders to determine the most efficient, cost-effective solutions.
  • Address work orders independently or coordinate third-party contractors/vendors when necessary. Repairs estimated above $300 require prior approval from the Regional Facilities Manager.
  • Complete special projects as assigned, which may include tasks outside your region or typical responsibilities.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates smoothly, building systems run efficiently, and the physical condition of facilities is maintained.
  • Participate in rotating on-call shifts, including after-hours and weekends.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • The ability to work independently and manage service requests across multiple locations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A professional attitude when interacting with Jacksons staff, contractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Physical Requirements

The candidate will frequently be required to perform the following physical activities: stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, stoop, climb/balance, and use their hands/fingers to handle or feel objects and controls. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Environmental conditions include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor exposure from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
