Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of transmission and operational studies to help clients make informed decisions
  • Conduct data analysis and interpretation of engineering, financial, and economic conditions and results
  • Develop and conduct detailed financial analysis using industry software
  • Develop technical reports and presentations summarizing results of analysis
  • Assist project managers in business development activities, including proposal development and client relationships
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program or related degree and 3 years of related experience
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business and 2 years of experience
  • PhD in Engineering and 1 year of experience
  • Prior experience associated with electric utility operations, planning, or consulting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with power system planning and operations; transient stability, short circuit, and voltage analysis; NERC, FERC, and Regional requirements, policies and procedures; production costing; risk assessment techniques; TPL compliance; generator interconnection; or harmonics analysis
  • Strong computer skills using industry software such as PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP/ATP, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Promod
  • Ability to execute various transmission system planning studies
