The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in workforce development, program administration, and community engagement. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and stakeholders.

This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities of poverty, unemployment, and barriers to employment. The successful candidate will be able to develop and implement innovative solutions to address these challenges, ensuring that MCS' programs are effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of MCS' workforce services strategy, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Oversee the management of multiple grants, contracts, and funding sources, ensuring compliance with requirements and maximizing resources.
  • Collaborate with local businesses, community organizations, and government agencies to identify emerging trends and best practices in workforce development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, funders, and community leaders.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Analyze data and program outcomes, making recommendations for improvement and expansion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public administration, business) and 5+ years of experience in workforce development, program administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, managing budgets, and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with local workforce development systems, labor market trends, and economic development initiatives.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
