Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to provide an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Management: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Inventory Control: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor and ensuring efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
  • Team Leadership: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, monitors productivity of team, and coaches as necessary.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards, organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment, and ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Customer Service: Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Superior communication and organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
