Junior Community Engagement Specialist

NoGigiddy is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Community Manager to enhance our virtual community for gig workers. In this position, you will play a vital role in nurturing and overseeing our community platform. Your primary responsibilities will include moderating discussions, interacting with members, and cultivating a welcoming and supportive online atmosphere. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about community development and are keen to embark on a career in community management. While a college degree is not mandatory, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to assist others are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Interaction: Proactively engage with gig workers on our community platform, promoting participation and a sense of belonging.
- Moderation Duties: Oversee conversations, uphold community standards, and ensure a safe and respectful space for all participants.
- Content Development: Create and disseminate content that resonates with our audience, including posts, articles, and updates related to NoGigiddy and gig work opportunities.
- Support and Communication: Address inquiries, concerns, and feedback from community members in a timely and effective manner.
- Event Planning: Organize and implement virtual events, webinars, and live sessions to engage and inform our community.
- Feedback Gathering: Collect insights and feedback from the community to enhance our platform and services.
- Collaborative Efforts: Partner with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and support marketing and recruitment initiatives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor community engagement metrics and provide regular updates on community activities and growth.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication Proficiency: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Creative Thinking: Capability to produce engaging and original content.
- Organizational Acumen: Strong aptitude for managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to foster and maintain relationships within the community.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with community management platforms and social media tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Competence in addressing and resolving community issues and conflicts.
- Time Management: Strong ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Customer Service Background: Experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in community management, social media management, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
- Prior exposure to gig economy platforms or staffing applications is a plus.
- Experience in hosting and coordinating virtual events is desirable.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications or coursework in social media, marketing, or community management are advantageous but not required.
Working Conditions:
- Remote Work: This role offers the flexibility of remote work.

Salary Range:
