Position Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

Scope of Position:

The Community Engagement Coordinator focuses on enhancing connections with community members by integrating into organizational programs and fostering relationships aimed at empowering individuals and families.


Through personalized coaching, the Community Engagement Coordinator will:

Position Schedule: 40 hours/week

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5 PM

Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Connect with families and community members through various programs to address diverse needs.

Establish meaningful relationships with individuals to better comprehend their strengths and requirements, facilitating connections to suitable resources.

Collaborate closely with financial coaching specialists to provide general financial education for community members.

Remain knowledgeable about Income Support programs (e.g., WIC, SNAP, Social Security) and serve as a resource for the community engagement team as necessary.

Support organizational events by actively engaging with the community and nurturing relationships.
Work in partnership with other organizations as needed.
Integrate into assigned programs to cultivate relationships with community members and staff.
Coordinate with the Community Engagement Team and other staff to ensure aligned services.
Provide case management for a designated group of community members, assisting with intakes and offering support in employment, housing, food, and financial matters.
Ensure accurate data tracking and information collection.

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
Capacity to prioritize, plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Proficiency in using essential digital platforms (training will be provided).

Dependability, initiative, and a growth-oriented mindset.
Training in relevant safety and civil rights protocols (training will be provided).

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Intercultural Studies, or a related field.
Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Experience working with adults in urban or social service contexts.
Valid driver's license required.
