Position Overview:
The Community Engagement Specialist will dedicate 6 hours per week to foster connections within the community. This role is designed for a vibrant community environment.

This position is pivotal in enhancing the Apartment Life (AL) experience for residents and staff. The ideal candidate will embody the mission and vision of AL, utilizing their expertise to orchestrate memorable events, facilitate meaningful interactions, and demonstrate genuine care and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Event Planning:**
- Organize and host two engaging events each month aimed at nurturing relationships among residents and connecting them with local services and businesses.
2. **Community Support:**
- Provide a supportive presence for residents and staff, leveraging a network of volunteers and community partners.
3. **Online Engagement:**
- Encourage residents to share their positive experiences online, enhancing the community's reputation.
4. **Program Administration:**
- Develop monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media content to promote activities, manage budgets, and prepare summaries for review.
5. **Volunteer Coordination:**
- Engage and mobilize a team of volunteers to maximize event impact and budget efficiency.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- **Relational Skills:**
- Ability to build authentic relationships and enjoy networking within the community.
- **Event Planning Expertise:**
- Experience in creating dynamic events that attract and retain residents.
- **Availability:**
- Flexible to host events during evenings and weekends when residents are most likely to participate.
- **Financial Acumen:**
- Responsible management of the monthly event budget, ensuring accountability and transparency.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Basic fluency in English for effective communication and marketing.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation for event-related tasks.
- Physical capability to perform duties, including lifting up to 25 pounds and navigating stairs.
- Commitment to serve for a minimum of 12 months in the community.
Compensation:
Hourly rate between $18 - $20.
