We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external customers, utilizing in-depth knowledge of our products, programs, and team members to solve problems and close sales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales/distribution, customer service, and marketing, preferably with experience in the building materials or construction industry. The candidate must also possess excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a personal sales strategy to maximize efforts and results
  • Research and identify sales opportunities through internal associates, industry publications, online sources, and client and vendor networking
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person meetings
  • Develop and deliver effective sales presentations to negotiate and close profitable business across all products and services
  • Ensure all clients have the most up-to-date product samples and brochures; work with vendors to ensure proper sales positioning
  • Consult with clients to determine requirements and expectations and recommend specific solutions; calculate estimates to provide competitive pricing
  • Interface with internal team and supply partners as necessary to ensure scheduled deadlines and requests are met
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and concerns
  • Obtain and maintain complete and accurate information on prospective and existing clients in contact management database
Requirements:
  • 3 years' sales and distribution experience, building materials or construction industry experience strongly preferred
  • Associate's degree or comparable work experience
  • Proven track record of B2B sales/account management and ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close high-level sales
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills with ability to use consultative approach to close sales
  • Proficiency in cross-selling product lines and ability to identify and develop new client and market opportunities
  • Strong customer focus and passion for building long-term business relationships
  • Outstanding multi-tasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with ability to complete difficult assignments independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • General mathematical computational ability and strong attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency, preferably in Microsoft Office programs and CRM
