At Mission Veterinary Partners, we're seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a liaison between our staff and valued clients, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional client service and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP.
  • Set the stage for a great visit by contacting clients ahead of appointments to set expectations, address questions, and request specific actions.
  • Welcome clients warmly upon their arrival and escort them to the exam room.
  • Real-time entry of medical information provided by the veterinarian during patient exams and ensure records are updated with diagnostic results as applicable.
  • Create, present, and explain treatment plans in accordance with the veterinarian's directions.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the completion of the veterinarian's treatment plan within the hospital.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and future wellness visits.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of any required prescriptions, providing explanations to clients, and coordinating delivery if necessary.
  • Clearly explain discharge instructions and address client inquiries.
  • Handle client checkouts and collect payments in the exam room.
  • Conduct post-visit follow-ups with clients to inquire about the well-being of their pets and communicate any diagnostic, lab, or other test results.

  • Proficient in active listening and accurate transcription of medical information.
  • Thrive on serving and assisting people.
  • Knowledge of, or eagerness to learn, veterinary medical terminology, conditions, and interactions.
  • Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Preferred education and experience: medical terminology, physical requirements, and reasonable accommodations.
