About the Role

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Admissions Director to lead our central intake and admissions process for our skilled nursing facilities in the Columbus area.

This is a weekends-only position that requires prior experience in admissions, marketing, or as a hospital liaison. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and state regulations and reimbursement models, including Managed Care, Medicare, and HMOs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the central intake and admissions process to support census growth for our facilities in the Columbus area.
  • Work closely with our external marketing and hospital liaisons to promote our services and attract new patients.
  • Evaluate and assess potential patients for clinical appropriateness and placements into our skilled nursing facilities.
  • Manage the admissions process at the building level and ensure proper admission documentation.
  • Participate in facility-specific sales and marketing team events and plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in an Admissions Director position in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
  • Associates degree or higher is preferred.
  • Prior experience in admissions, marketing, central intake, or as a hospital liaison is required.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Point Click Care (PCC).
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations and reimbursement models.
