This role is responsible for overseeing the organization and maintenance of the warehouse/yard, ensuring effective communication with the buying team to manage inventory levels. The successful candidate will lead a team of employees, monitoring productivity and providing training. Key responsibilities include arranging and delivering materials to customer job sites, operating a forklift, and loading/unloading orders. A courteous and professional demeanor is essential when interacting with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Load, secure, and unload trucks safely
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries
  • Document delivered loads
  • Communicate with management regarding any issues
  • Operate a forklift or pallet jack efficiently and safely
  • Process damage claims according to store policy and maintain related paperwork
  • Follow up on damage claims and returns in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper maintenance of company delivery vehicles and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Valid state-issued Class E driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Able to walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Able to operate heavy machinery
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate, relate well, and direct the work of others
  • Ability to solve problems, work independently, and check accuracy
