We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at the Jewish Community Center of Staten Island. With a strong focus on financial management, this role will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing various financial aspects of our organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will work closely with our department heads to ensure that our financial operations are aligned with our organizational goals.

Job Description
  • Prepare and reconcile daily deposits, as well as monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Fiscal administration of grants from City, State, and private foundations, including income analysis and grant closeout functions.
  • Assist with preparation for audits and work with auditors on confirmations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and accounting software.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including subsidized medical options, dental and vision coverage, FSA and Dependent Care, LTD, STD, Life Insurance, Pension, 403B, and generous program discounts.
