Job OverviewPurpose of the Branch Operations Leader:

The Branch Operations Leader oversees the sales initiatives and performance of the branch. This role involves coordinating and managing retail personnel, as well as ensuring smooth branch operations and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities of the Branch Operations Leader:
  • Collaborates with the Regional Manager to develop, track, and implement action plans aimed at fulfilling branch objectives that align with WaterStone Bank's strategic vision, financial guidelines, and profitability targets.
  • Inspires, mentors, and nurtures retail team members through training, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Partners with the Regional Manager to maintain appropriate staffing levels and address employee matters. Conducts interviews, hires, monitors employee development, evaluates performance, and takes necessary disciplinary actions. Recommends promotions, salary adjustments, and recognition.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees branch administrative and operational workflows.
  • Ensures that branch personnel deliver prompt, efficient, accurate, and courteous service to clients in accordance with WSB service standards.
  • Originates and finalizes Consumer and Residential loans, ensuring all agreements are complete, accurate, and compliant.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of WSB's core processing systems, products and services, policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards governing retail accounts.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, standards, and external factors that may impact the bank.
  • Identifies and proposes reasonable modifications to policies, procedures, and products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Branch Operations Leader:

Experience
  • Required
    • 3-5 years of sales and supervisory experience
    • 3-5 years of business development experience
  • Preferred
    • 5 years of sales and supervisory experience and/or business development experience
Education
  • Required - High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Preferred - Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Working Conditions

Additionally, candidates must be adaptable in their work schedule and possess the ability to travel between office locations as necessary, along with providing proof of insurance.
