The Senior Production Supervisor is a key leadership role at Furlani Foods, responsible for overseeing the production operations of our bakery. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team to achieve high-quality production, while ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and direction to production team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to meet production goals.
- Quality and Food Safety: Ensure that all production processes meet the highest standards of quality and food safety, adhering to SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication with production team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Utilize analytical skills to identify and resolve production-related issues, and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: 5+ years of supervisor experience in a bakery/food manufacturing environment, with a strong background in leadership, quality, and food safety.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and employee management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in English (both written and oral).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work Environment: The Senior Production Supervisor will work in a fast-paced bakery environment, with exposure to loud noises, strong smells, and dust/flour.
- Physical Demands: The role requires standing for 8-10 hours, walking on flat and uneven surfaces, and ability to work in a normal bakery atmosphere.
