Front Desk Agent Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team at Hotel Management of New Orleans LLC. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our hotel guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of guest service, including registration, information, accounting, parking, directions, and sightseeing.
  • Monitor bell and valet staff activities to ensure proper guest support and service.
  • Manage guest requests and complaints with satisfactory response and resolution.
  • Run various reports during the shift to ensure end-of-day balance.
  • Verify housekeeping activity to prepare rooms for occupancy.
  • Process transactions accurately, including cash receipts, credits, and charges to guest accounts.
  • Route mail, packages, telephone calls, and messages efficiently.
  • Document and report maintenance deficiencies.
  • Process reservation requests and modifications accurately.
  • Ensure hotel life safety systems and emergency procedures are working properly.
  • Manage room key inventory, guest information, and safe deposit box system securely.
  • Maintain shared cash bank accurately.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of hotel layout, corridors, exits, guest rooms, and storage rooms.
  • Working familiarity with hotel room types and categories.
  • Ability to manage hotel lobby and front desk areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
