Job Title: Patient Care Associate-Part-Time 3:00PM

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at St. Joseph's Health. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Associate will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic care to acutely ill patients, and maintain a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and equipment
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework
Preferred Requirements:
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Basic Life Support certification
