Job Summary:

As a Field Service Engineer at Agilent, you will be responsible for providing on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of Agilent instrument and software solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in chromatography and analytical instrumentation, as well as excellent communication and customer relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites
  • Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems
  • Performs maintenance and repairs
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance
  • Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
  • Delivers fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software
  • Trains customers in the solutions

Requirements:

  • Meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law
  • Bachelor's degree in a science field (e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology) highly preferred; may consider applicants with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with expertise working with chromatography and analytical instrumentation, ideally including repair, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting
  • Ability to solve high-impact problems related to product availability; typically, system/solution-focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer relationship building skills are essential
  • Ability to travel 35% of the time
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position

Additional Details:

This job has a full-time weekly schedule and includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least October 9, 2024, or until the job is no longer posted. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $53.45/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.
