**Job Summary**

Prosoft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Manager to lead our team of software engineers. As a hands-on technical leader, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing the work of technical teams and the development life cycle for projects and software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, including resource and capacity planning, architecture and system design, and driving improvements in software engineering practices.
  • Perform technical lead duties, including removing blockers and impediments to enable the team to successfully complete work.
  • Facilitate estimates of project requests, define project scopes, and set delivery schedules and timelines to successfully deliver applications and solutions on time and on budget.
  • Mentor developers and perform code reviews on a regular basis.
  • Provide coaching and support the career growth of developers through 1-on-1 meetings and performance reviews.
  • Work with other development managers, architects, software engineers, and business stakeholders to solve complex business problems.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with 2+ years of leadership experience working as a team lead, tech lead, development manager, or similar role.
  • Experience with various software architectures, including service-oriented architecture, message-driven architecture, event-driven architecture, microservices, etc.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack web applications.
  • Backend development experience with any combination of the following: C#,.NET Framework,.NET Core, Node.js, Nest.js, Web API, RESTful API, SOAP, GraphQL, Open API, SQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Front-end development experience with any combination of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Vue.js, React.js, Next.js.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Experience in an automated testing environment.
