Job Overview

ENTEK is currently seeking skilled Production Operators to enhance our operational team. The role is essential to our manufacturing processes, which run continuously, necessitating flexibility in shift availability, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operator, your primary duties will include:

  • Extruder Operations: Manage, oversee, and maintain mixers, extruders, and extractors within your designated production area to guarantee optimal quality and efficiency.
  • Winder Management: Supervise the oven exit, fife guides, slitter system, defect detection system, and winder mandrels. Ensure the final product is correctly packaged and transported to the packaging line.
  • Pelletizer Duties: Operate and monitor the pelletizing process for recyclable materials, ensuring they are efficiently prepared for reuse in ENTEK's mix formulas.
Additional Responsibilities

In this role, you will also be expected to:

  • Conduct physical testing of products, both in-process and finished.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Accurately complete production logs and databases.
  • Adjust processes as necessary to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor the production line to meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Uphold safe operational practices.
Work Environment

This position involves working three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift each week on the production floor. The role may require proximity to moving mechanical components, and candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding environment, including lifting and moving weights of up to 50 pounds.

Operators must be willing to wear a half-face respirator when necessary, which requires compliance with grooming standards.

  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
