Job Overview

ENTEK is currently seeking dedicated Production Operators to enhance our operational capabilities at our facility. Our production environment functions around the clock, and we are looking for candidates who are flexible with their availability, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operator, you will engage in various tasks essential to the Production Department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Extruder Operations: Manage, oversee, and maintain mixers, extruders, and extractors within your designated production area to guarantee optimal quality and efficiency.
  • Winder Management: Supervise the oven exit, fife guides, slitter system, defect detection system, and winder mandrels. Ensure proper packaging of the final product and facilitate its transfer to the packaging line.
  • Pelletizing: Operate and monitor the pelletizing process for recyclable materials, ensuring they are efficiently processed for reuse in ENTEK's mix formulas.
Additional Duties

In this role, you may also be responsible for:

  • Conducting physical tests on products, both in-process and finished.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Accurately completing production logs and databases.
  • Making necessary adjustments to uphold process efficiency.
  • Monitoring the continuous production line to meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ensuring safe operational practices at all times.
Work Environment

This position involves working three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift weekly on the production floor. You will be required to work in proximity to moving mechanical components and spend the majority of your time on your feet. Physical demands include:

  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly pushing or pulling large rolling totes.

There may also be occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, heat, and hazardous chemicals in the manufacturing environment. The role requires the ability to wear a half-face respirator as necessary, which entails maintaining facial hair standards.
